How to participate in exams
The MTTSE Registration process is carried on by students, through their schools by using official links provided by organisers. Schools should ensure students register before the deadline.
Registration Fee for MTTSE
The students participating in tamilnadu talent search exam must pay the registration fee of 150 per head. Students should ensure the timely payments and submission of details.
MTTSE Syllabus for Students
The MTTSE exam is similar to the NTSE exam, but it is conducted by NCERT. The syllabus is from their curriculum which focuses on their understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
MTTSE Exam Pattern
The exam has 76 questions conducted for 100 marks in 1.30 hours. In Section A to D, the number of questions from each subject area like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is 12 and HOT questions 1 of these subjects total 45 marks.
The no of questions for Mathematics is 20 questions, hot questions 5 and total 35 marks. In Section E, Mental ability is conducted for 20 marks with 20 questions.

Chemistry - Matter, Physical and Chemical Changes, Separation of Mixtures, Water – Sources and Purification, Air and Its Composition.
Biology - The world of animals and plants, The Cell -Basic Unit of Life, Health and Hygiene, Plants in Daily Life, Human Organ Systems (Digestive, Respiratory, Circulatory).

MTTSE recognizes students' performance through prestigious scholarship, medals, certifications to boost healthy competition and academic excellence.
Awards & Certifications for Students
- The students who score 1st, 2nd, 3rd in school level in each class will get an excellence medal and certificate of merit.
- At the district level, the top three students from each class receive a trophy, cash awards of ₹2,000, ₹1,000, and ₹500 respectively, and a Certificate of Excellence.
- At the state level, the top three students from each class receive cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹5,000, and ₹2,500 respectively, along with a trophy and a Certificate of Excellence.
- All the participants will receive the Participation Certificate.
- Students with 80% of marks in subject area and 100% marks in hard questions will qualify for the district and state level.
Awards for Principal & Teachers in State level
- Special Appreciation Trophy for Top performing schools based on average student performance and participation.
