JEE Main syllabus

The IIT JEE Main exam is annually conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The syllabus is based on the NCERT curriculum.

The paper 1 for (B.E./B.Tech) covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The paper 2A for (B.Arch) covers Mathematics, Aptitude, and Architecture.

JEE Mains Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics contains two sections with Section A and Section B. Part 1 consists of MCQs with a weightage of 80%. Part 2 consists of a Numerical Value type with a weightage of 20%.

The JEE Advanced syllabus is set by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The syllabus of JEE Advanced includes the topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The JEE Advanced exam is conducted by one of the seven IITs.

The JEE Advanced Syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of classes 11 and 12. Each paper (paper1&2) contains multiple sections with different types of questions like MCQs, Match, etc. The weightage of each subject equally contributes to the overall.

JEE Centres

The JEE exam cities and centres vary annually. The JEE Main exam was conducted in 289 cities in India and 15 cities outside India, totaling 618 centres in India. The JEE Advanced exam is conducted in 222 cities in India and 2 cities internationally.
